What if any story or thing you could possibly conceive of writing about already exists? The Library of Babel is a website that has every combination of 3,200 words or less, in English, that contains just that. https://libraryofbabel.info/.
But what if we take it further and consider whether any and every conceivable reality already exists? If time and space are an illusion then what’s so difficult to swallow about the idea that everything’s already here?
I think all possible outcomes surround us and that we only see what we tune into. I think the bookshelves are stocked and that we only have to walk in to the library and ask for the book we’re looking for – and the right chapter – and so on and so on.
I think that maybe “now” is the portal or lens through which we access that library.
I have only overly-generalized theories about this stuff. They are conceptual but I got my gut. Ever get goosebumps when talking about quantum physics or chaos theory? Never mind…
If everything’s energy like science says it is, and radios pick up certain stations based on frequencies, then do we? Do we tune in to wealth and happiness or pain and suffering?
If everything already exists but somehow the space-time continuum allows us to experience perspective and separateness, then without time and space, are we all one all at once?
I’ve heard heaven described like that and I heard it is beautiful.
I sound crazy.
